Rick Funeral is Saturday
Funeral services for Bernard Charles Rick, 61, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Estherville with the Rev. Ronald Flentgen officiating. Burial will be in East Side cemetery.

Mr. Rick died at 11:07 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, at Veterans Hospital in Minneapolis.

He was born Oct. 28, 1910, at Perham, Minn., the son of Otto and Ida Rick. He received his education in the Perham schools.

He was married to Elsie Laue on Oct. 14, 1948, at Fairmont.

He came to Estherville as a young man with his parents and had been employed by Hill Packing Plant and later by John Morrell Co. for 17 years.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church, V.F.W., was a Cootie hospital worker and a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Phillip (Ardella) Stell, San Diego, Calif.; four son, Waldemar Leiding, Albuquerque, N.M.; James Leiding, East Stroundberg, Pa.; Ricky Nolan, Estherville; and Richard Rick, Mason City; and seven grandchildren.

There are two brothers, Gordon Rick, Estherville; John Rick, Windom; and two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Edmunds and Mrs. Bert (Irene) Cooklin, Estherville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today and until time of the funeral. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 15, 1972)
