Former Area Resident Dies at Rochester
Mrs. William Presley, 19, the former Nancy Marie Broadie of Estherville and Superior, died at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday (October 5, 1960)at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Death was caused by a kidney ailment. Mrs. Presley had been seriously ill one month.

A brief service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Sternborg-Reese Chapel for relatives only. The Rev. James K. Lyon will officiate at the service. Burial will be in the East Side Cemetery. The family has established a memorial in her memory.

Friends may call at the Sternborg-Reese Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until 1:00 p.m. at which time the casket will be closed.

Survivors include her husband; her parents; one sister Bonnie Jo Broadie of Clearwater, Fla.; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Broadie of Spirit Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Olney Reid of Estherville.

Nancy Marie Broadie was born Feb. 21, 1941, in Estherville, daughter of Harlan and Mary Broadie. She received her education in Superior and Clearwater, Fla. She was married to William Presley in Clearwater on June 5, 1959. Mrs. Presley lived on a farm in Dickinson County near Superior until five years ago when she moved with her parents to Clearwater.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Estherville and a member of the church choir. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 7, 1960)
