Raymond (Tom) Anderson
Estherville – Funeral services for Raymond (Tom) Anderson, 58, of Estherville will be held on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Tom Nash officiating. Interment will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Estherville. He died on Mon., Sept. 15 at Holy Family Health Services in Estherville.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-8:30 at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

He was born on December 23, 1938 in Fort Dodge, the son of Thomas L. and Florence L. (Dorn) Anderson. He received his education in the Fort Dodge schools graduating from St. Edmund’s Catholic High School in 1957. He also attended Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge.

On August 29, 1959, he was united in marriage to Judith L. Wickman in Fort Dodge. After their marriage, the couple made their home in Fort Dodge where he was employed with the M. and St. L. and Chicago Northwestern railroads. In 1963, the couple made their home in Estherville where he was employed with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad working in Estherville and St. James, Minn. for over 20 years.

He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville.

He is survived by his wife, Judy of Estherville; daughters, Sherry Planting of Estherville and Shelly Bryan of Sioux Falls, S.D.; sons Chris Anderson of Owatonna, Minn., and David Anderson of Minneapolis, Minn.; four grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Anderson of Fort Dodge, Paula Thompson of Fort Dodge and Peggy Heathman of Fort Dodge. He was preceded in death by his parents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 17, 1997)
