DEAN CLARK PASSES AWAY
Young Man Dies of Complication of Mumps and Results of Grip

Dean Albert Clark was born in Dallas County, Iowa, October 7, 1897. He passed away at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Clark, near this city November 10, 1917 at the age of 20 years, 1 month and 3 days. His sickness was of short duration, and his untimely death came unexpectedly from complication of mumps and cerebral hemorrhage.

Most of his life was spent in Dallas county from where he moved with his parents to this county six years ago. He attended school at the Capital City commercial College one term. He leaves to mourn his departure his parents, three brothers, and one sister. The brothers are Earl, Ivol, Everett and the sister Esther. All of these reside in this vicinity excepting Everett who live at Charles City. One infant sister preceeded him to the better land.

A short funeral service was held at the house Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J.S. Coffin, Minister of the Christian church. The remains were taken to Minburn Tuesday morning where a funeral service was held in the Christian church by Rev. Coffin and burial took place near the old home. The family have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their bereavement.
