Infant Son Dies
Funeral services for Gregory James Herum, three-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Herum, Wallingford, are to be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Fuhrman Funeral Home, the Rev. James Fangman officiating. Burial is to be in St. Patrick’s cemetery.

The little boy died Sunday at 1:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Hospital at Rochester, Minn., where he had been taken Tuesday.

After extensive examination he underwent brain surgery. He had cancer of the brain.

Gregory was born Nov. 16, 1963, at Holy Family Hospital and for the past month or more his parents have been with him at various hospitals in an effort to determine his ailment.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herum; two brothers, Douglas, 5 and Roger, 3; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Herum; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Schacherer, all of Wallingford; and his great-grandmother, Mrs. Sophia Schacherer of Estherville.
