Donna Sheda, 1927-2007

Donna Jean Sheda went home with the Lord on October 6, 2007. She had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center since September 25, 2007, after suffering a stroke.

Donna was born December 1, 1927, in Marshalltown, Iowa, and lived in Belle Plain, Iowa. She was married on April 17, 1946, to Francis Sheda. She lived the last fifty-one years in Estherville, where she raised her family.

Donna retired from the Holy Family Hospital and recently worked as a Matron for the Emmet County Sheriff's Office. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and any activity that included her family.

She is survived by her children, Frank and Carla Sheda of Wayne, Nebraska; Theresa and Jim Justice of Panama City, Florida; Joe and Pam Sheda, Sue and David Snyder, Chris and Dale Snyder, all from Estherville; Mike and Robin Sheda, Spencer, Iowa; Pat and Carolyn Sheda, of Rofle, Iowa; Nick and Ana Sheda, Simpsonville, South Carolina; and Al Sheda, Clearfield, Utah. Family was very important to Donna. She was blessed and is survived by 33 grandchildren, their spouses and 46 great-grandchildren. Donna is also survived by many special friends, nephews and nieces.
