Luella McDaniel Rites on Tuesday
Luella McDaniel, 77, died Sunday, Oct. 11, at the Balmer Nursing Home at Estherville.

She was born Aug. 19, 1893 [1894 per grave stone], at Sheldon and attended school at Webster. She attended nursing school at Marshall, Minn., and was graduated as a practical nurse.

She was married to Dudley McDaniel and worked at the Holy Family Hospital and the Balmer Nursing Home as a practical nurse. She was also with the Wilder’s Variety Store. She was a resident of the Balmer Nursing Home for the past two years.

Survivors are nieces and cousins including Kenneth Hunter of Estherville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, parents and one brother.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at the Reese-Henry Chapel. John McClure will officiate. Burial will be at East Side Cemetery.

Friends may call today until time of the service.
