Ex-Resident of Estherville Dies at 35
Mrs. Joseph (Margaret Moore) Martin, 35, of Omaha, formerly of Estherville, died yesterday at 5:30 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Hospital in Omaha. Mrs. Martin’s death was sudden and unexpected. She was taken to the hospital just two hours before her death after becoming ill at home.Margaret Moore was born June 28, 1927 here in Estherville, the daughter of Elmer Moore and the late Mrs. Moore. She grew to womanhood here and was graduated from Estherville High School.
She was married July 1, 1961 to Joseph Martin at Omaha, where she had lived for the past four years. Prior to that time, she had lived for four years in Duluth, Minn. Mrs. Martin had been employed for a number of years by Western Electric Company.
She was a member of the Methodist Church in West Omaha, Neb.
Surviving Mrs. Martin’s death are her husband, her father, Elmer Moore of Estherville, and one brother, Lawrence Moore of Jerome, Ida. She was preceded in death by her mother.
A short prayer service was to be held this afternoon in Omaha after which the body is to be brought to Estherville.
Funeral services here are to be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Sternborg-Reese Funeral Chapel, the Rev. William R. Noland officiating. Burial is to be in East Side cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from12 Noon Sunday until time of services Monday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 26, 1962)
