Mrs. Margaret Bartleman, 90, died Sunday morning at the Marian Home after a short illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel and a Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:30 am. at Corpus Christi Church. The Rev. David Hemann, assistant pastor of Holy Spirit Church, Carroll, will officiate. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Estherville.

A parish rosary will begin at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Gunderson Funeral Home. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

She is survived by a son, Donald L. Bartleman, Elmhurst, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Roman (Dorothy) Hemann, Fort Dodge; 10 grandvhildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister Mrs. Albert (Elizabeth) Clasing, Emmetsburg.

She was born Margaret Evans at Emmetsburg in 1896 and moved to Estherville with her family as a young girl. She attended Estherville schools. She married LeRoy Bartleman in 1916 at Estherville. The couple made their home at Graettinger until 1940 when they moved to St. James, Minn. He died April 27, 1976.

She moved to Fort Dodge in 1977. She was a member of the Navy Mothers, the Christian Mothers and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas at St. James, Minn. She was a member of the Marian Home Auxiliary and the Legion of Mary Auxiliary. (The Messenger, Fort Dodge, IA, Feb. 9, 1987)
