Estherville – Services for Eva Kane, 83, who died Saturday, June 24, 1989 at her home in Estherville, will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, July 1, 1989 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville with Father Thomas Topf officiating. The Legion of Mary and Parish Rosary will be said at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home. There will be no visitation. Burial will follow Saturday’s service in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Estherville.

Eva Ruth Kane was born August 11, 1905 to Merton S. and Murlie I. (Burger) Crowl in the state of South Dakota. On December 11, 1926 she married William D. Kane in Estherville. Mrs. Kane was employed as a bookkeeper in several Estherville businesses and was also employed for several years at the Estherville Daily News. She has lived her entire married life in Estherville. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville.

Survivors include one brother, Spencer Crowl of Livermore, Calif. and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1965, her parents and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 29, 1989)
