Estherville – Emily Ruth Shonkwiler, five-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Shonkwiler, Estherville, died Tuesday evening at St. Luke’s Hospital, Sioux City, where she had been a patient since shortly after birth.

Services for Miss Shonkwiler will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Estherville, with Father Albert O. Grendler officiating. The St. Patrick’s Childrens’ Choir will also sing for the service.

Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, with the Rev. Paul Wiegman conducting the committal service.

Visitation will be after 7 o’clock tonight at Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville.

She was born Jan. 1, 1980, at Holy Family Hospital.

Miss Shonkwiler is survived by her parents; one brother, Joshua Shonkwiler, at home; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Shonkwiler, Estherville; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Olson, Pocahontas; and great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben White, Fort Dodge.
