ESTHERVILLE - Funeral services for Jean Klingbeil, 89, of Estherville will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at First Presbyterian Church in Estherville with Pastor Donna Gray officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville. Interment will be at East Side Cemetery in Estherville.

She died Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at Avera Holy Family Health in Estherville.

Margaret Jean (Bosold) Klingbeil, the daughter of John and Anna (Campbell) Bosold, was born Aug. 11, 1921, on the family farm in Jack Creek Township in Emmet County.

She attended country school through the eighth grade and then completed her education and graduated from Ringsted High School in 1939.

In November of 1940, Jean was united in marriage to John R. Klingbeil. The couple moved to a farm north of Gruver where they lived, raised their family and farmed. Her greatest interests in life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved farm life greatly. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading and raising flowers. John died in 1994. They were blessed with 54 years of marriage.

Jean was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Estherville, where she was involved in various committees and activities in the church, including United Presbyterian Women.

Left to cherish Jean's memory are her children, Beverly Heise and her husband, Bob, of Bloomington, Minn. and John E. Klingbeil and his wife, Cheryl, of Estherville; grandchildren, Anna Gram and her husband, Jeffrey, of Minneapolis, Brenda Clymer and her husband, Dave, of Estherville and Bobby Heise of Richfield, Minn.; great-grandchildren, Harriet Jean Gram, Josef Henry Gram, Colton Lee Clymer, Carter John Clymer, John Marcus Klingbeil and Devin Ronald Klingbeil; sister, Kathryn Wiseman of Estherville; and sisters-in-law, Doris Klingbeil, Edna Weir and Della Klingbeil.

Preceding Jean in death were her husband, John; daughter, Susan; grandson, John R. Klingbeil; her parents; one brother, Robert; and two sisters, Mildred Dominy and Mary Ellen Ricke. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, 2011)
