William Allen "Bill" Jensen, Sr., the son of John "Jack" and Lois (LeClair) Jensen was born July 19, 1953, in Estherville, Iowa, and departed this life on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, at the age of 55.

He received his education in the Estherville schools.

On September 11, 1971 he was united in marriage to Merrie Jo Walz in Estherville. Bill worked with his dad at Stollers Fishery and later with John Morrell Co. until the plant closed. He was then employed with Arts Way Manufacturing until his retirement in 2006. For hobbies, Bill enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, going camping, playing cards and most important was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Estherville.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Bill Jensen Jr. and his friend, Megan Huntley of Estherville; Jodie Cooper and her husband, James of Mechanicsville, Virginia; Mandi Timmerman and her husband, Josh of Waterloo, Iowa; Brandon Jensen and his wife, Heidi of Des Moines, Iowa; grandchildren, Kayla; Jacob; Jack; Jonathon; Stephen; Dylan; Macy; Owen; and the Timmerman triplets on the way; his mother Lois Jensen of Estherville; brothers and sister, Ben Jensen and his friend, Linda Gant of Sioux City, Iowa; Dan Jensen of Jackson, Minnesota; Mike Jensen and his wife, Connie of Madrid, Iowa; Tom Jensen and his wife, Aida of Estherville; Tim Jensen and his wife, Nancy of Spirit Lake, Iowa; Roseann Jensen and Fred Jacobs of Fort Collins, Colorado; and also by Aunts, Uncles and many nieces and nephews.

He has been preceded in death by his father, Jack and his grandparents. (MC)
