Estherville – Services for Thomas William West will be held Saturday, 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father A.O. Grendler officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. He died Wednesday morning, Dec. 7, 1983 at Clarkson Memorial Hospital in Omaha, Nebr.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Friday. Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. Tom Balm of the United Methodist Church, will lead a scripture service, both to be held at the funeral home.

West was born March 16, 1948 in Estherville, the son of Wayne and Annette (Ziemer) West. He attended Gruver School and graduated from Lincoln Central High School in 1976. On Nov. 13, 1982 he was united in marriage with Sally McDonald in Estherville. The couple farmed southwest of Estherville. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sally, Estherville; his parents; four brothers; Timothy, Estherville, Tony, Mesa, Ariz., Todd and Ted of Estherville; four sisters: Tami, Mesa, Ariz., Theresa, Treva and Tricia, Estherville; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd McDonough, Mesa, Ariz.; and a grandmother, Mrs. Florence Ziemer, Yucca, Calif.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother and two grandfathers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 8, 1983)
