Woman Dies at Age 90
Mrs. Theckla Hemphill, 90, died at 9:45 a.m. Sunday [August 28, 1966] morning at Holy Family Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Union Baptist Church in Estherville. Rev. Rawlin Johnson will officiate and burial will be in East Side Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home Tuesday and until noon Wednesday.

Mrs. Theckla Eromina Hemphill was born Oct. 8, 1875 on a farm near Dunnell, Minn., to Henry and Clara Anderson.

She received her education in Martin County, Minn., and Henry County, S.D.

She was married in 1895 to John Hemphill in Estherville. Mr. Hemphill died in 1955.

Survivors include one son, Lyle of Colona, Ill., three daughters, Mrs. Willard (Doris) Satterley of Keokuk, Mrs. Leola Anderson of Estherville and Mrs. Leland (Lois) Dadd of Alexandria, Va.; four grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 29, 1966)
