Mrs. Mabel Hausner is Called After Lingering Illness
Mrs. Mabel Hausner, widow of William Hausner, died at her home on South 9th street last evening at 8 o’clock. Mrs. Hausner who would have been 64 on Nov. 13 had been critically ill for about eight months of cancer.

Mrs. Hausner was the daughter of James and Maria Nichols and was born in Bremer county. She was married there in April 1895 to William Hausner and the family moved to Estherville about 35 years ago. Mr. Hausner died in Florida in 1933.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. M.S. Warren and Mrs. Earl Tuttle, Estherville; Mrs. Alice Tupper, Waucoma and five sons, Lloyd and Merle, Estherville; Ralph, Chicago, E.H. of Glade City, Texas, and M.L. of Knoxville, Iowa.

All of the children expect to be here for the funeral services which will be held Thursday afternoon. Interment will be made in the East Side cemetery. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, October 10, 1939)

Mrs. Mable Hausner Passed Away at Her Home Monday
After a long illness Mrs. Mable Hausner passed away at her home on South 9th street Monday afternoon. She has been a resident of this county and city for many years and had a wide circle of acquaintances.

Her girlhood life was spent near Sumner where she was born Nov. 13, 1875. She was united in marriage to Wm. Hausner in 1895 and a short time thereafter moved to a farm in Emmet county. Later they quit farming and moved to this city where she has resided since.

Mrs. Hausner is survived by five sons Lloyd and Merle of Estherville, Ralph of Chicago, E.H. of Gladwater, Texas and M.L. of Knoxville, and three daughters, Mrs. Earl Tuttle, Mrs. M.S. Warren of this city, and Mrs. Alice Tupper of Waucoma. The latter has been here attending her mother for some time.

The funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 from the Gospel Mission church. Interment was made in the East Side cemetery. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, October 12, 1939)
