Estherville – Harry L. Brown, 82, Estherville, died Sunday [January 30, 1977] at Holy Family Hospital here.

Services for Mr. Brown are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fuhrman Funeral Home with the Rev. Harvey Throop officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery.

Mr. Brown was born Feb. 13, 1895, at Spirit Lake, moving with his family to the Jackson, Minn., area when a baby. He received his education in Jackson area schools and married Ethel Pearl Wheatley in February, 1919. The couple farmed in the Superior area.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel; two sons, Verlyn Brown, Estherville, and Max Brown, Estherville; and one brother, Earl Brown, Sioux Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 1, 1977)
