Robert Moffett, a young gentleman of about 25 died of typhoid fever at the Miller Hotel Wednesday night. The duration of the sickness was short – many not knowing of it until the announcement of his death. The deceased was a young man of a genial and warm-hearted disposition, that gave the burdens of his life only a casual thought, but carried sunlight into every path of duty. His parents and relatives all reside in Scotland. (Northern Vindicator, Estherville, IA, December 5, 1884)
