Mrs. Frank Sullivan Dies
Mrs. Frank G. Sullivan, 65, longtime Estherville resident, died Sunday [August 14, 1966] at 7:50 a.m. at Holy Family Hospital. Mrs. Sullivan was admitted to the hospital Aug. 4, after suffering a heart attack at her home.

An active worker in community and church affairs, Mrs. Sullivan was a member of St. Patrick’s church, Catholic Daughters of America, Altar and Rosary Society, St. Ann’s Circle, Holy Family Hospital auxiliary, Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Emmet County T.B. and Heart Association. She had filled offices in practically all organizations to which she had belonged.

The former Margaret Mary Maloney was born Jan. 31, 1901, in Clinton, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Maloney. She received her elementary and high school education in Our Lady of Angels Academy at Clinton.

She was married Aug. 5, 1924, in Clinton to Frank G. Sullivan. They came to Estherville at time of their marriage and had continued to live here since that time. Mr. Sullivan died Oct. 28, 1952.

Mrs. Sullivan is survived by one son, CPO F.G. (Jerry) Sullivan, stationed at Naval Air Station, Quontset Point, R.I.; three daughters, Mrs. James C. (Kathryn) McIlwraith of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Jack C. (Patricia) Stevens of Charles City, Mrs. Leonard (Margaret Mary) Roberts of Estherville; six grandchildren, James, Michael and Kathryn Roberts, Karen and Timothy McIlwraith, and Jacqueline Stevens; two brothers, J. Edward Maloney of Rock Island, Ill., T. Emmet Maloney of Clinton, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Marie C. Maloney Paulsen of Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and one brother, James M. Maloney.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sullivan will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. James H. Duhigg officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Friends may call at Fuhrman’s Funeral Home anytime after 7 p.m. Tuesday.

A rosary will be said Tuesday at 8 p.m. for members of the Catholic Daughters, and Wednesday at 8 p.m. A rosary will be said for the parish. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 15, 1966)
