Services Monday for Woman, 62, from Superior
Mrs. Matt Reuland, 62, Superior, died this morning at Holy Family Hospital after a year-long illness.

Maria Della Woods was born Oct. 14, 1907, at Woodstock. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Woods. She moved with her parents to Terril in 1914 and then to Emmet County in 1917.

She received her education in the Emmet County schools and graduated from Gruver High School in 1927. She attended the State Teachers College at Cedar Falls and taught in the Emmet County schools.

On Nov. 25, 1939, she was married to Matt Reuland at Estherville. Following their marriage, they lived in Detroit, Mich., until 1945 when they moved to Superior.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, St. Monica’s Circle and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

She is survived by her husband, Matt; two sons, Bernard of Mankato, Minn., and Robert of Estherville; five grandchildren; two brothers, John Woods of Sacramento, Calif., and William Woods of Estherville; and two sisters, Lucille Woods, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Alma Woods of Estherville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bernard.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Church with Rev. Lawrence Burns officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Saturday until the time of services Monday.

A rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Fuhrman Funeral home. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 16, 1970)
