Estherville – Funeral services for Ricardo R. Nava, 26, Estherville, will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville with Father A. O. Grendler officiating. He died Saturday [December 13, 1975] at Brownsville Medical Center, Brownsville, Tex.

Mr. Nava was born Aug 16, 1949 at San Benito, Tex., to Gregorio and Isabel Nava and was educated in Bermeillo, Bgo, Mexico, where he graduated from high school. He was married to Rae Jean Sifrit in Estherville Jan. 15, 1972. He had come to Emmet County in 1970 and had been employed with Wadco Foods, Inc. and Land O’Lakes, Inc. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church.

Survivors include his wife, Rae Jean, Estherville; one son, Ricky, 3 ½; and one daughter, Christina, three months, all of Estherville; his parents, three sisters, Maria, Antonio and Estefena of Bermeillo, Bgo; and two brothers, Cecilio and Jeredo of Metamoros Tamps, Mexico.

Friend may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, after 3 p.m. Wednesday. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 16, 1975)
