Rites to be Friday for Faye Gage
Faye Lemuel Gage, 61, lifetime resident of Estherville, Gruver and Dunnell areas, died yesterday at 11:40 a.m. at Holy Family Hospital. Mr. Gage had been admitted to the hospital on Sept. 3 after suffering from a severe heart attack.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edward Gage, he was born June 12, 1902 at Maple Hill. He received his education in the Maple Hill and Dolliver schools.

Mr. Gage was married May 18, 1943 to Adelaide [Adeline] Wempe in Des Moines. Following their marriage the couple farmed in the Gruver area, after which they moved to Dunnell, Minn., where Mr. Gage operated a produce station.

Ten years ago he and Mrs. Gage moved to Estherville and since that time he had operated the Recreation Club on Central Avenue. He was a World War II veteran.

Surviving Mr. Gage’s death are his widow; two sisters, Mrs. Glen (Eda) Stevens of Pomona, Calif., Mrs. Esther Martin of Los Angeles, Calif., and one brother, Lawrence of Apelansos, La.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services are to be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Fuhrman Funeral Home, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. James H. Duhigg officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s cemetery. Military services will be conducted at the graveside.

Friends may call at Fuhrman Funeral Home from this evening until time of services Friday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 11, 1963)
