Estherville – Funeral services for Mrs. Emily Jane Bryan, 85, Estherville, will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with burial at the church cemetery. She died Thursday [February 5, 1976] night at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

Mrs. Bryan was born Dec. 23, 1890 in New Era, Mich. to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Long, Sr. and received her education in Shelby, Mich. schools. She moved to Estherville with her family in 1907 and in 1920 was married to William Bryan in Estherville. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.

Survivors include one son, Donald S. Bryan, Detroit, Mich.; five grandchildren; three sisters, Lena and Frances Long, Estherville; and Mrs. Emanuel (Bess) Stavros, Estherville; two nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and one sister.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, after noon Sunday. At 8 p.m. Sunday rosary will be said at the funeral home. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 6, 1976)
