Ex-Blacksmith Here Dies
Funeral services for Cyrus Walker Polson, former Estherville and Huntington area resident, who died yesterday about 7:30 a.m. at St. Ann’s Hospital in Algona, are to be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Fuhrman Funeral Home, the Rev. R. E. Bauerie of the Church of the Nazerine officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.Mr. Polson had been ill for about a year His death was attributed to cancer.
A former blacksmith in this area, Mr. Polson had lived for the past 16 years in Lakota.
Born June 12, 1894, at Pleasantville, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Emsley Polson.
Mr. Polson is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Theodoe (Dorothy) Borowki of Fort Dodge, a son, Billy Polson, Tampa, Fla., and six grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Martin Lathringer of Clear Lake and Mrs. Merritt Brown of Elk River, Minn.
He was preceded in death by a son, his parents and one sister.
