Ex-Resident, 78, Dies at Fairmont Nursing Home
Funeral services will be tomorrow for Mrs. Hannah Peterson Taplin, 78 Fairmont, who died last night at the Lakeview Methodist Home at Fairmont, Minn.

She had been in failing health for a number of years.

Mrs. Taplin was born April 14, 1891, at Sugar Creek, to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Johnson, and was educated in Durant schools.

On April 2, 1913, she married Charles Peterson at Livermore. After Mr. Peterson’s death in 1951, she was married to Glenn Taplin at Fairmont on June 26, 1957. Mr. Tap;in died in 1967.

She had lived at Humboldt, Maple Hill, and Estherville, and had been employed at Butterfield Produce in Estherville.

She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lester (Elnora) Weber, Fairmont, and a son, Eugene G. Peterson, Lakeville, Minn.

Other survivors include a sister, Carrie Schults, Humboldt, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two sons, one sister, and several brothers.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Reese-Henry Chapel in Estherville, the Rev. Robert Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today until time of service on Saturday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 15 1969)
