Rites Held on Monday for Mrs. B. Merron
Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon from the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Thompson for their daughter, Buena Merron, well known in Estherville.

Mrs. Merron has been ill for the past 18 months. She has been perilously ill at times and would then recover to some extent. Much of the time she was in the Holy Family hospital and when she appeared to be recovering she would be taken home for a time.

A week ago from Tuesday she appeared to be recovering and asked to be taken home. Hardly had she arrived there until she became seriously ill. She was rushed back to the hospital and passed away a few minutes after reaching there.

Mrs. Merron has operated “Bun’s Beauty Salon” for many years. She has been a very successful woman in business. Her considerate and friendly ways has won her a host of friends.

The services at the house were brief and no obituary was read. The floral decorations were extremely beautiful and her many friends were kind in their remembrances.

She is survived by her parents and two daughters. The remains were laid to rest in Oak Hill cemetery. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, June 17, 1948)

Mrs. Ed Reichmann and three children left for their home in Minneapolis last Saturday after attending funeral services of her mother, Mrs. Buena Merron. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, June 24, 1948)
