HORSWELL

The angel of death passed over our city Sunday evening and found no blood upon the door post of the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. Horswell. The death angel fulfilled his mission; not the first born but the youngest, a bright and beautiful little child of twelve months, was carried away to return its soul to the God who gave it. The little one was sick but a few days but its illness was that disease so fatal to young and tender life, cholera infantum. It died Sunday evening about 5 o’clock and the funeral services were held at the home Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock. A long procession of sympathizing friends to the bereaved parents followed the remains to the West Side cemetery where they were tenderly laid to rest. Deep sympathy is extended by all --- to the --- in their loss. (Northern Vindicator, Estherville, IA, July 30, 1896)
