Mrs. Bessie Peterson Dies at 69
Mrs. Bessie Peterson, 59, 621 North Seventh street, died this morning at 10:45 o’clock at her home. Mrs. Peterson had been seriously for some time.

Mrs. Peterson was a longtime resident of Estherville, moving here when a young girl from Coste, Ia., where she was born Jan. 2, 1882.

She was married to Harry Hollenbeck who preceded her in death May 4, 1924; and then was married to G. A. Peterson who died Aug. 17, 1945.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Robert Miller of Rochester, N.Y., Mrs. Jack Brown of Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. Ernest Shook of Burlington, Wis., Mrs. LeRoy Merriott and Mrs. Maurice Boggess, both of Estherville; four sisters, Mrs. Jesse Connelly of Estherville, Mrs. Oliver Bowman of Victor, Mrs. W. B. Flint of Spirit Lake and Mrs. Doris Esmann of Estherville; one brother, Sam Rossman of Aitkin, Minn.; 13 grandchildren; and a stepdaughter, Mary Louis Peterson of Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Methodist church with the Rev. John DeLong officiating. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 7, 1951)
