Erling Hansen Was Native Of Denmark
Erling Hansen was born April 13, 1909 in Taars, Denmark, died Nov. 4, in Nampa, Idaho, of heart attack. He received his education in Denmark and came to the United States in 1923, settling with his parents and family, Mr. and Mrs. O. P. Hansen, in the Armstrong vicinity.
He was married in December, 1934, to Juanita Lombard of Arnolds Park, and lived in the Armstrong community until 1943 when he moved to Nampa to live. In Nampa he was employed by a seed company. He was a member of the Lutheran church, being baptized and confirmed while still in Denamrk. He also was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Nampa.
Survivors include his wife and parents, three brothers, Einar and Hans Hansen of Estherville, Asgar Hansen of Dolliver, one sister, Gudrun, Mrs. Leslie Babb of Alpha. Services were held Nov. 9 in St. John's Lutheran Church in Ringsted with the Rev. Stubbs of Fredsville officiating. Burial was at St. John's Cemetery.
