Mrs. Hepp, Longtime City Resident, Dies
Mrs. Jacob F. (Rebecca A.) Hepp, 87, longtime resident of the Estherville area, died last night at Holy Family Hospital.The former Rebecca A. Imler was born Aug. 27, 1875, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Imler, at Buffalo, Ind. She received her education in Buffalo.
She was married to Jacob Hepp on April 19, 1896, in Buffalo and they moved to Estherville about 1900 where Mr. Hepp worked for 15 years on the Rock Island railroad. He farmed for another 15 years near Estherville and then operated Sinclair and Shell Oil Stations here. Mr. Hepp died Dec. 9, 1951.
Surviving are five daughters, Mr. John (Bessie) Graff of Estherville, Mrs. Leonard (Jessie) Hackett of Arnolds Park, Mrs. Flave A. (Verna) Logue of Alhambra, Calif., Mrs. Orrid F. (Jennie) Warrington of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Byron D. (Ivy) Blair of Lake Park, and one son, Jack R. Hepp of Clear Lake.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, and one son, Orville, who died in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Fuhrman Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James K. Lyon officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home from Thursday until time of service on Friday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 12, 1963)
