Mrs. Henaman Dies Suddenly of Heart Attack
Death came suddenly and very unexpectedly to Carrie Elizabeth Henaman Friday [April 9, 1948] from a severe heart attack. She was aware that she had a heart ailment but it was not considered that serious by the family.Her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Conklin, heard her mother coughing and went to her room. She at once called a doctor but Mrs. Henaman had passed away. She had not complained of being ill before she retired and had been about that day in the usual manner.
Mrs. Henaman, who was 78 years of age at the time of her death is survived by two sons, Porter of this city and Walter of Los Angeles, California, and one daughter, Mrs. Wm. Conklin of this city.
Mrs. Henaman, who had resided here for many years, had a wide acquaintanceship. She had a host of friends. She was devoted to the welfare of her family and a great home body.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday from the home at 2 and the Presbyterian church at 2:30, the Rev. F. E. Conaway officiating. Interment was in Oak Hill cemetery. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, April 15, 1948)
Mrs. J. E. Mitts received word Friday that her aunt, Mrs. Joe Henaman of Estherville, had passed away at the hospital there. Mrs. Mitts and George Henaman went to Estherville on Tuesday to attend the funeral services. (Milford Mail, Milford, IA, April 15, 1948)
