Albert Heiman, 77, Dies at Estherville
Albert Heiman, 77, a native of Germany who came to this country when he was 17 years old and later settled at Wallingford and Estherville died Sunday [July 26, 1953] at an Estherville hospital.Heiman was a carpenter and later a machinist on the Rock Island railroad. He worked for a short time in Chicago and later moved to Wallingford where he was united in marriage to Bertha Zerke.
He was employed by the Rock Island railroad in1899 and continued with this work until his retirement in 1939. One son, Peter, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Fred and Sam of Estherville and a daughter, Mrs. James Kirk of near Estherville. (Graettinger Times, Graettinger, IA, July 30, 1953)
