Former Resident of Estherville Dies at Minot
William (Bill) Harcourt, former Estherville resident and 1920 graduate of Estherville High School, died Monday [April 23, 1962] at his home in Minot, N.D., and his body is to be brought here for burial.

Harcourt grew to manhood in Estherville and was a member of his high school football team. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during World War I. After his release from the army he returned here for a short time, according to his sister, Mrs. Vernon Anderson, the former Opal Harcourt.

The body is scheduled to arrive here tomorrow and a short service will be held at Sandin-Fuhrman Funeral Home Thursday at 2 p.m. after which burial will be with full military honors in the family plot at Oak Hill cemetery, the Rev. Lester Strubhar officiating. Mr. Harcourt was a member of the Christian Church.

Military rites will be conducted by the VFW, American Legion and World War I veterans.

Friends may call at Sandin-Fuhrman’s after 5 p.m. Wednesday until time of the services on Thursday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 24, 1962)
