Final Rites Wednesday
Funeral services for Clarence Golla, 62, of Estherville who died yesterday of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, have been scheduled Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Fuhrman Funeral Home, Rev. C. R. Buckwalter offiating.

Mr. Golla had been in ill health for the past eight years.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion and the VFW.

Pallbearers are Merton Mason, Ed Anderson, Floyd W. Given, Glenn L. Story, Herman C. Blom, and William Zumach.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today and until services tomorrow.

Clarence W. Golla was born Oct. 31, 1903 in Estherville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Golla. He spent his entire life in Estherville, most of the time employed as a car salesman.

He was married to Mildred Olson Jan. 16, 1950, in Minneapolis.

Mr. Golla was a veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife; three step-children, Mrs. William (Josephine) Evans and Richard Olson of Anaheim, Calif., and Robert Olson of Houston, Tex.; three brothers, Harry of Spencer, Jack of Arnolds Park, and Irvin of Omaha; and four sisters, Mrs. Florence Burtis and Mrs. J. M. (Olive) Fredericksen of Estherville, and Mrs. Archie (Esther) Ericson and Mrs. Lee (June) Erickson of Minneapolis.

Mr. Golla was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Herman. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 25, 1966)
