Charles Bunday, Ex-Resident, Dies
Charles H. Bunday, 60, a former resident of Estherville, died Friday afternoon at his home in Delavan, Wis., after a lingering illness. He is a brother of Mrs. Clarence Sherman of Estherville.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Sternborg funeral home, the Rev. H. Hughes Dill officiating. Burial will be in Oakhill cemetery with military graveside services.
Mr. Bunday was born Feb. 12, 1892, in Hampton. In 1929 he married Dorothy Meckel and for several years lived in Estherville. He was a mechanic by trade. He served overseas during World War I.
Surviving his death are his wife, sister, Mrs. Sherman; and four brothers, Arthur of St. Paul, Fred and Clarence of Sioux City, and Henry of Cherokee; and a half-sister, Mrs. Cora Hansen of Rowen. Preceding him in death is a brother, Harvey. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 15, 1952)
