J. T. Baker Services
To Be Held Friday Afternoon at the Sternborg Funeral Chapel

Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon for John T. Baker, who passed away at the Coleman hospital early Wednesday [April 1, 1941] morning. Services will be held at 2:30 o’clock in the Sternborg Funeral chapel with the Rev. Fred D. Sawyer officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill cemetery.

Mr. Baker was born March 17, 1867 and at the time of his death was 74 years old. His death was caused from heart trouble.

Mr. and Mrs. Baker came to Estherville about twenty years ago and have made their home here ever since. They have been living at 118 north Fifth street. When he first came to this city Mr. Baker was employed as operator at the Grand Theater under the management of F. H. Graaf. Later he became janitor at the Orleans hotel and also served in various other capacities around town. He was a conscientious employee and his genial disposition made him liked by everyone.

Surviving are his wife and one son, whose whereabouts are unknown. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, April 3, 1941)
