Estherville – Arthur Raymond Williamson, 79, Estherville, died at his home July 29. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Christian Church with the Rev. James Harmon officiating and burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. A military graveside service will be held. Friends may call at the Henry Funeral Home, Estherville.Mr. Williamson was born Feb. 7, 1897, at Audubon to John W. and Eula Phillips Williamson and was educated in rural Oklahoma schools. He was married to Mary Tease [Pease] May 25, 1921, at Dexter. Mr. Williamson is a retired carpenter and had lived in Estherville since 1924. He was also a veteran of World War I, a member of the Elks Club, a life member of the VFW post, a member of the World War I Barracks and the American Legion.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth, Estherville; and Eldon Wayne, Paris, France; three brothers, Virgil, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mervin, La Mirda, Calif.; and Lester, San Mateo, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Olaf (Esther) Oftadahl, Fenton; and Mrs. Florence Leeper, Nevada.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 1950 and three brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 2, 1976)
