Wilcox: Rev. and Mrs. A. A. Wilcox have been called upon to part with their infant daughter, Lydia, three months old. The little one died of cholera infantum Saturday [September 12, 1896] morning. The funeral was held at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon. The sympathy of all is extended to the bereaved parents. (Semi-weekly Northern Vindicator, Estherville, IA, September 15, 1896)

Four Mile Lake Items: We heard that Rev. Wilcox buried his little babe last Sunday. They used to live in our neighborhood and they will have the sympathy of their many old neighbors in their sad affliction. It was only a bud on earth to bloom in heaven. (Emmet County Republican, Estherville, IA, September 17, 1896)
