Mrs. Jessie Weir died November 8th at Huntington, leaving a husband, Matthew Weir, and two little daughters. She was a woman who was highly respected by all who knew her. She died a singular death, as the only indication of anything out of the usual was an overpowering desire to sleep on Thursday and Friday. Friday evening she closed her eyes and passed way without having suffered any pain. Sunday she was buried in the West Side cemetery. (Emmet County Republican, Estherville, IA, November 14, 1901)
