Ex-Resident of City Dies at Rockford
Mrs. Luella Terveer, 40, former Estherville resident died at 4 p.m. Tuesday [May 18, 1954] at Rockford, Ill., where she had lived for the past 11 years.

Mrs. Terveer was born March 2, 1914, in Estherville, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Knode. She was a member of the Central Christian church of Rockford.

Survivors include her parents, two daughters, Mrs. William Wright and Mrs. Charles Overall, all of Rockford; three sisters, Arlene Klein and Clara Adee, both of Rockford; and Mrs. Lester Riesing of Dubuque; four brothers, Harley Knode of Iowa Falls, Leonard Knode of St. Paul, Otto Knode Jr. of Newport Beach, Calif., and John Knode of Estherville. Additional survivors include one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

The body is being brought to the Sternborg Funeral Home for services at 2 .m. Friday afternoon. The Rev. Clyde Leeds will officiate and burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.

The police are asked to escort the procession in the usual manner as they have in the past. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 19, 1954)
