Estherville – Funeral services for Howard E. Searcy, 63, Estherville, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Estherville, with the Rev. Steven Wold officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Searcy died Sunday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.

Born Nov. 8, 1912, in Clay County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Searcy, Mr. Searcy received his education in South Dakota. He married Freida Williamson on April 8, 1970, at Truman.

Mr. Searcy came to Estherville in 1942, working for the Hill Packing Company and later John Morrell and Company until retiring in 1969 because of ill health.

He is survived by his wife, Freida; one son, Garth, Mankato, Minn.; three brothers, Everett, Milbank, S.D., Ardell and Merwen, both of Twin Brooks, S.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Clifford Titus, Ceylon, Minn., and Mrs. Orin Moen, Galesburg, N.D. He was preceded in death by his parents.
