Estherville – Mrs. Minnie H. Rost, 87, a former Estherville resident, died early Thursday [September 2, 1976] at the Northwest Hospital, Des Moines. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Estherville, with the Rev. Ronald Flentgen officiating and burial at the Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville.

Mrs. Rost was born Dec. 24, 1888 in Chicago to Mr. and Mrs. William Suchow and was educated in Chicago until she moved to Lake Fremont Township, Minn. She was married to William Robert Rost March 19, 1911 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Petersburg and they farmed there two years. In 1913 they moved to Estherville.

Survivors include one son, Glenn, Des Moines; one grandson, Richard, Springfield; one granddaughter, Robyn, Des Moines; two great grandchildren; and one brother, William Suchow, Paris, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister and two brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 3, 1976)
