Funeral Service For J. J. Reinboldt Will Be Held Here On Saturday P.M.
J. J. Reinboldt, 70, a resident of Estherville for twelve years, died at 6:45 Tuesday [February 11, 1936] night at the Coleman hospital. Death was due to pneumonia and other complications.
Mr. Reinboldt was born in Germany. When he was 24 years old he came to America and settled in South Dakota. Two years later the family moved to Sioux City, Iowa; then to Odebolt, Ia., going from there to southern Minnesota and then to North Dakota where they lived for eight years before moving to Estherville.
The deceased is survived by his wife, eleven children, 30 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The children are: John Reinboldt of Odebolt, Iowa; J. C. Reinboldt of Yorkville, Ill.; Wm. Reinboldt of Cottonwood, Minn.; Fred Reinboldt of Marshall, Minn.; Ray Reinboldt of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. C. A. Torrence of Estherville; Mrs. H. S. Snapp of Marshall, Minn.; Mrs. L. A. Walstom of Minneapolis, Minn.; Miss Katherine Reinboldt of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. F. J. Ditter of Minneapolis, Minn.; and Mrs. Charlie Reinhardt of Dolliver.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 o’clock Saturday from the home and at 2:30 from the German Lutheran Church with Rev. Lang officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, February 12, 1936)
