John A. Larson Died Tuesday of a Heart Attack

John A. Larson, 66, long-time resident of Emmet county, passed away Tuesday [November 29, 1938] morning from a heart attack. Mr. Larson had been in poor health for several years.

Funeral services were held in the Mahlum and Anderson chapel Thursday afternoon at two o’clock with the Rev. L. A. Mathre officiating. Pall bearers were Claus Martens, Paul Welnitz, Henry DeWall, Frank Dobberstein, Elmer Nelson and Lewis Stark. Burial was in the Oak Hill cemetery.

Mr. Larson is survived by two brothers, three sisters, two daughters, and a son. His wife died in 1934. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, December 1, 1938)
