Mrs. Larson, Clear Lake, is Called
Former Resident Dies After Lingering Illness With Diabetes; Body Brought Here For Burial

Mrs. Arthur Larson of Clear Lake, daughter of Oliver Larson of this city, died Sunday [December 22, 1935] at her home after an illness of several years from diabetes. Her condition became serious about a week ago and she slept away on Sunday morning.

Funeral services will be held here Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Mahlum and Anderson Chapel with the Rev. L. A. Mathre officiating.

Opal Larson was born Sept. 2, 1905, at Wallingford, where she was also confirmed. She came to Estherville with her parents when a young woman and was graduated from the local high school in 1923. She is a member of the Lutheran church and while in this city was an active member of the Young People’s League.

Following her graduation from high school she went to a business college in Minneapolis and was later employed at the Estherville Grocer company for a few years. On June 22, 1927, she was united in marriage to Arthur Larson.

She is survived by her husband, her father and one sister, Mildred, who is employed in Albert Lea, Minn. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, December 24, 1935)
