The little eighteen months old girl babe of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Jeglum died Monday [February 8, 1909] morning at 6:30 after several months illness. Funeral services were held at the house, 315 north 12th street, at one o’clock Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Akre preaching the funeral sermon. Burial was made in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Jeglum have the sympathy of the entire community in their time of profound sorrow. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, February 10, 1909)

Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Jeglum mourn the death of their eighteen months old daughter who died Monday morning after a prolonged illness. Funeral services are to be held Thursday afternoon from the residence conducted by Rev. Akre of the Lutheran church. Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
