ARMSTRONG – Service for Mrs. Luella Nieman, 84, of Armstrong will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Armstrong with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Nieman died Saturday at Fairmont Community Hospital. Visitation will be after 1:30 p.m. today at Henry and Olson Funeral Home of Ringsted. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
Luella Sturm was born June 25, 1899, at Armstrong. She married Harry N. Nieman June 6, 1928, at Armstrong. They lived in Armstrong and then moved to South Dakota where they lived several years. They returned to Armstrong where they have lived since. She was a housekeeper for many years for Father Joseph Schultes when he served at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and belonged to the Alter Society.
Survivors include daughters. Myron (Myrna) Ahle of Little Falls, Minn., and Mrs. Arlyn (Joyce) Fisher of Owatonna; eight grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Betty Dresch of Beardsley, Minn., Mrs. Armella O’Brien of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Mrs. Wayne (Adeline) Vallie of Spirit Lake, Iowa.
