Shipley Services—Mrs. Frank Shipley died early Monday morning, Feb. 19, at her farm home west of Armstrong, after several months of failing heath. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the First Presbyterian church with the Rev. Russell Nelson in charge. Interment was made in the LuVerne, Ia., cemetery.

Blanche Estella Shipley was born December 18, 1893, in Sully county, N.D. following her marriage to Frank Shipley, they lived for 17 years on a farm near LuVerne, Ia. They lived on a farm east of Armstrong for six years prior to moving to the present location eight years ago.

Besides her husband survivors include her eight children. They are Clyde of Mitchell, S.D., Mary (Mrs. Chester Smith) of Swea City, Orville and Lucille at home, Clarence of Sanborn, Minn., Virgil of Maple Hill, Rolland who is stationed with the army at Camp McCoy, Wis., and Lavonne (Mrs. Donald Poyzer) of Wallingford. Also surviving are eight grandchildren.
