ESTHERVILLE—Funeral services fro Elmer LeRoy Iverson, 74, Estherville, will be 1:30 pm. Saturday at the Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stan Eyberg officiating and burial High Lake Cemetery. He died Wednesday night at Holy Family Hospital.
Mr. Iverson was born Dec. 1, 1900 in High Lake township to Louis and Ella Johnson Iverson and was educated in rural township schools. He attended Waldorf College, Forest City, and was married to Mabel Kvinge Feb. 28, 1924 at Huron, S.D. and they farmed in High Lake township until 1967 when they retired and moved into Estherville.
He had been an Emmet County Supervisor, a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church, and ASCS County committeeman and longtime member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Graettinger.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel; one son, Donald Iverson, Wallingford; three daughters, Mrs. Norman (Betty) Iverson, Boulder, Colo.; Mrs. Lynn (Marilyn) Bubb, Concord, Calif.; and Mrs. James (Maxine) Robertson, Walnut Creek, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Herke, Estherville; and Mrs. Edith Elsenbast, Graettinger.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Friends may call at the Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, after 11 a.m. Friday.
