Jean Echternacht Dies at Her Home at Alpha, Minn., Today
We received the sad news this morning of the death of Jean Echternacht, of Alpha, Minn. Jean was a girl of seventeen and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. I. Echternacht, formerly of this city. She was in the Birney hospital in this city for some time a few months ago. Since then she has been at home with her parents. Mr. Echternacht was in our office three days ago and said then his daughter was not doing as well as they had hoped for. The funeral services, we understand, will be held in this city. Jean Echternacht, 17, Passes at Alpha, Minn.

Jean Echternacht, 17, formerly a student in the Estherville schools, passed away Tuesday [November 25, 1932] morning at her home in Alpha, Minn., after an illness of over two years caused by heart trouble.

Mr. and Mrs. E. Echternacht, her parents resided in Estherville for a time. Since leaving here they have been farming near Alpha.

Jean is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Echternacht, who have a son Jack. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, October 27, 1932)
